The 39km Eastern Bypass which starts at the Ruiru Kiambu road meets Kagundo Road some few kilometers before the Airport North Road. Its at this junction that a flyover has been built for the bypass while Kagundo road passes beneath.

Building a KES 4.2+ Billion Project is one thing but making sure that its not defaced is another thing altogether. This is where we fail. This junction is hardly 5 months old and it looked 5 years old. I think we are tired of using the phrase "Someone is sleeping at their job" or Tunaomba serikali. That person we keep referring to as sleeping on his/her job is probably busy campaigning for seat in the coming elections. But wait!... who puts and writes this graffiti? Isn't it us, one amongst us gets paid and using a spray can writes the name of the person onto a 4Billion piece. This 4Billion is our very taxes that fund this MegaProjects so lets be sharp and maintain this piece of public infrastructure.

Allow us to walk you down these pictures showing you what has become of the Ksh.30Billion Highway Project..

Enough with the posters, have a look at some shots of the work on the other side of this junction.

These terraces made in such a way that minimal or no soil is lost via surface run-off seems to be working but at some points the soil is moving. Hopefully the vegetation cover will hold the soil so its a race against time
