SGR Construction in January 2016

With the month of January over, the construction of the SGR project has now a few months to start operation. Station construction is in high gear as workers on the track laying department work extra hours to lay as much track as possible.

January has been an interesting month here at the Mombassa - Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway Project. Track laying had passed Masimba Railway Station by the close of the month. The Athi River super bridge is also on schedule. Railway Sleeper production in Emali is at it highest to feed the hungry track laying machine, and so is the bridge girder production yard.
